● Grown by award-winning horticulturists without harmful pesticides

● Easy-to-use online sales platform and a webstore specific to you

this year.

What You Need to Do Now:

unique shopping code (webstore link) in your e-mail (please check your spam/junk

folders) that you can then use yourself to order and share with friends, family,

neighbors, and co-workers and encourage them to buy their Spring Flowers through our

fundraiser (everyone loves flowers, right?) or post to your Social Media platform

(Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc.).

*If you type in your student’s name but the system can’t find them: please reach out to PTO

member Susie Brummelte at masonelementary.fundraising@gmail.com with your student’s first and last name

be picked up by you on May 2nd between 12-2pm at Mason (and further distributed by you (to

your friends and family etc. who ordered from your kid’s link). If you cannot pick up your plants

during that time, please reach out to masonelementary.fundraising@gmail.com to ask about alternative

Scholastic Book Fair

Scholastic Book Fair

We are excited to announce our annual Spring Scholastic book fair is coming soon!

What do book fairs do for our school?

When our school reaches its sales goal, scholastic gives us 50% of profits back in the form of Scholastic Dollars. Those Scholastic Dollars are used to purchase books for the library, classrooms, and students. Have you ever seen a Scholastic News come home or used online student access for Scholastic News? Mason’s book fairs pay for that subscription. Scholastic dollars have also been used to purchase items from the scholastic school catalog, most recently, carts (foldable & white board) for our new outdoor classroom and a new classroom rug for the library! So you can rest assured that for every dollar you spend, a percentage goes back to your child’s education here at Mason Elementary.

New This Year!

--

New This Year! --

What’s new at this year’s fair?

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND is the Virtual Book Club! Just like in the fall, our club will run virtually in the evenings from April 21st-25th. Keep an eye out for when your kids favorite Mason teacher/staff member might make an appearance! Maybe Maple will even make another appearance! We will once again have fun giveaways for all the kids who attend as well as new raffle items.  All of the books featured at Book Club will be available for purchase at the fair, so your child can take that excitement for reading home with them. These virtual events will run starting at 6:00pm each night for the week leading up to our fair. You can find more information and the links to join HERE!

Preorder Your Reusable Totes!

This spring, we are bringing back the reusable tote bag, but switching things up to a red option! These bags are available for pre-order HERE or purchase at the fair. We will still have donated grocery bags as a free option for shoppers, but feel free to purchase a scholastic bag to use for book fairs and library all year round. 100% of profits from every bag purchase goes straight to your Mason PTO as funds to use for students and classrooms. If you pre-order a bag (or your student wins one at book club), your student will receive their bag at their in-school shopping day to use right away.

When can we shop the fair?

Your students will have their first opportunity to shop during school on Thursday, May 1st. After school shopping will take place Thursday, May 1st from 3:45pm - 6:00pm & Friday, Nov. 15th from 3:45pm - 5:00.

Should I shop the fair online or in person?

While there is an option to shop online, the way you purchase book fair books changes the percentage of money back to the school. Online shopping for our fair is a great way to purchase books your child didn’t see in person, but you will pay shipping and a smaller percent of your purchase comes back to the school. If there is a book your child sees at the fair, we recommend purchasing it in person. If you have family who would like to help pay for your child’s book purchase, they can add money to your child’s e-wallet with no additional fees. For a how to on creating or updating your eWallet, click HERE. If your child is going to be absent for the fair and you would like an in person shopper, please ask your child’s teacher to put you in touch with Kendall Cassidy (book fair host) and she will be happy to walk you through having her shop on behalf of your child.

I love the book fair! How can I help?

We are always looking for volunteers for the book fair. Because the fair runs before and after school throughout the week, there are a variety of time slots and volunteer opportunities. Click HERE for a full collection of time slots for volunteer opportunities!
